About Trope & Swagger Press

Trope & Swagger is a romance press built for and by queer romantics. We publish romance stories that center queer love, joy, messiness, and community. We write and publish the stories we wish we had read when we were younger, and the ones we want to read now. Every book we publish ends in an Happily Ever After or a Happy For Now. Our books often contain spicy adult-focused content and are intended for 18+ audiences.

We're closed for submissions at this time. When we're open for submissions, we're especially looking for lesbian, queer, nonbinary, and trans romance manuscripts from writers creating stories from countries and cultures that aren't often published in English. We want to lift up stories in which characters living brave, kind, transformative, and adventurous lives bang up against each other and make something new possible. 

Behind the scenes, we work with a network of freelance editors, artists, and translators who bring each story to life with care and craft. We do not create, publish, or support any AI-generated creative—every word and every cover is made by human hands.
