Executive chef Maya Goode has a five-star reputation, a stable fiancée with old-money manners, and a plan: grind it out for two more years, then buy her mother's diner so her mom can retire. When she catches her fiancée cheating the night before a romantic trip, she takes the trip without her, driving into a Massachusetts blizzard alone, only to crash her rental car stubbornly persisting alone into the slippery hills.

She finds herself stranded at a failing farm-turned-theater company with a protective and infuriatingly know-it-all butch groundskeeper who chops wood to blow off steam and insists on caring for her, challenging her lifelong habit of putting everyone else first.

If she can't figure out what she wants from her future, she risks returning to a sterile corporate life and losing the steady attention of Sawyer and the community she has come to love.

Cater to Me is a cozy, steamy sapphic romance featuring snowed-in forced proximity, hurt/comfort, found family, butch/femme chemistry, and a small town saving the farm from big corporate interests.

Author Bio:

(Full bio) Nova Brown is a queer femme GenXer from Oakland, CA who writes sapphic romance full of snowstorms, sparks, spice, and characters who can’t quite get out of each other’s way. She worked as a cook in college, then moved to St. Petersburg Russia for three years, before spending over two decades in the Bay Area tech industry. She and her partner have moved between California to Massachusetts and back (TWICE!), before relocating to the Netherlands (at least for now). Here she has the space to write the stories she’d always wanted to read. Cater to Me is her debut. She, her partner, and their children share a home with two cats who don't get along and a dog named Tatertot who loves everyone.
